May 3, Short & Sweet 8 As part of the FTA. We're calling this edition Strange Pairings, and we're asking choreographers to collaborate with someone outside of their usual artistic practice. It's going to be a fun night @ Quartier Général of the Festival TransAmériques. 175 President Kennedy ave. It's a free event!

Sasha and Andrew will be doing a presentation as part of the Canadian Centre for Dance Studies Conference that is taking place during the FTA. The theme is collaboration and they will be presenting a paper talking about the Wants&Needs dance events and their own collaborative practice.

Sasha Kleinplatz presents her new work Chorous two at the Guelph Contemporary Dance festivals. May 31 7 pm, June 2 12pm, June 3 12 pm @ Exhibition park.

Two spirited Montreal-based organisations - Studio 303 and Wants&needs – are hosting informal presentations of dance works by a new guard of creators. “The found studio series aims to bring attention to the work of eight choreographers making waves in Montreal’s dance underground. Running parallel to the FTA and OFF.T.A., this four-day event (in 2 cycles) invites presenters to view innovative choreographic work in a relaxed setting. Taking place at Studio 303, in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles, the found studio series offers a unique opportunity to meet and exchange with some of the most exciting players on the Montreal dance scene.”Wi Fi access and refreshments will be available.Wants&needs danse et le Studio 303, deux organismes culturellement engagés basés à Montréal, joignent leurs forces afin d’organiser une série de performances informelles par des danseurs de la relève. “La série found vise à attirer l’attention sur le travail de huit chorégraphes qui évoluent sur la scène alternative de la danse à Montréal depuis maintenant quelques années.
